Summer Dreams Poem by Paul Warren

Summer Dreams

Rating: 5.0

My heart returns to the land I love
Where the kookaburras call and the sun beams above
In the still of the night you can see
The full moon reflecting on the sea
On a summer evening not out of place
And a gentle breeze finds my face

On a cool morning the silence rings
As the bush awakens and the day begins
Longed for now those Summer days
When the horizon shimmers with a golden haze
The beauty of our Great Southern Land
Nurturing its daughters and sons at its command.
