Sum Refractions Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Sum Refractions

Sum Refractions

I remember
refracted nights,

Coins and collections,
the moons in full mints,

A brotherly
and sisterly shine,

Too painful,
cherishmoments
in the harsh
marshlands of time,

We played games,
roamed ancient villages,
destined siblings,

hands of
forgotten alliance,
always greatly thoughtful,

Any day,
hard rebukes
and reprimands,

Sticks and stones,
The loud tollings
of chimes,

Would invalidate roots
Hidingmotes,
on kitchen tables,
looking mirrors,

Embryonic trivia's
family symbols
Traces and remnants,
of crying time,
