This poem sent chills through me from the first couplet right to the last one, who that forlorn adolescent as a symbol of our often bereft condition. I don't think about suicide but I realize for some people it is the way their minds focus on the quality of their lives and find it so lacking they lose hope. Then, using your poem's imagery, they find themselves stuck in the deepest mire or paralyzed with the sound of requiem music. Your poem is not only a sharp dramatization of this condition, it is a compassionate expression of a concerned witness.
