Sugar Poem by cassie wheathers

Sugar

Rating: 4.5

Awakened by the summer day,
rising from thier heavy dreams,
she stands against the gentle breeze
that ripples her dress through day light beams.

He follows her through hills of color.
She wants a place to play and hide.
He takes her hands and keeps her close,
he'll never let he leave his side.

She lays with him when he gets tired.
Her youth lingers on, his begins to go.
Her gentle love bleaches all his bad memories.
He needs the little girl more than she could ever know.

Thier whispers cease, but thier secrets remain.
The lovers sleep lightly in the shade,
in love so deep they have lost all thier senses
but the taste of sugar that never fades.
