Suffering Is Grace! Poem by Barner (Warner/Raju) Keisham

Suffering Is Grace!

Suffering is Grace!

Suffering is grace, though hard to face,
I don't ask for it, yet it comes & leaves a trace.
When it arrives, it surely is hurting,
But in the end, it's quietly singing.

Buddha taught: the root of suffering is attachment,
The tighter I cling, the harsher entrapment.
Yet through radical acceptance, I hear the call,
"Let go, let go"—release it all.

A gentle surrender, pain turns to peace,
The grip of desire begins to cease.
So, welcome the suffering, the lessons we trace,
For hidden in sorrow, there lingers grace.

And when suffering shapes us, we learn to embrace,
The boundless compassion of love's vast space.
All spirituality is about relieving suffering
And I am here telling you to love the suffering
Whatever happens! in the middle or beginning
At the end it's something bigger you'll be achieving.
