I have written "a gust of wind /washes /the clouds away." I did not write "a gust of wind / chases /the clouds away." Deliberately. Hope my fellow poets understand
Guest of wind always sways away rain to some other area.Enjoyed your depiction of rain saunter
Windswept clouds take your rains away. Is it the wind's vagabond nature (in Sanskrit wind is called ‘Anila' meaning the one that does not stay at one place)

While during the monsoons, it rains cats and dogs all over kerala, the gods own country, the pre-monsoon showers might play hide and seek..
