Along a lonely shale strewn windy shore.

You really manage to capture the awe-inspiring power of the sea with this poem. I truly enjoyed reading it.

I have had to read this through a few times, Ernestine, to recapture over and over the enormity of the poem. Tara suggested that this is one of your best and I totally agree. Those first three lines are spell-binding (and, for me, my favourite part) , and then the body of the poem showing the majesty of nature. The finish, where the stillness comes and the spirits soar, round it off perfectly. Love, Fran xxx

This is a stunning piece of writing Ernestine which combines lyrical descriptive imagery with a powerful statement about the awe and wonder of life itself. You show the reader the paradox of man's insignificance on the one hand and his singular awareness of the mystical on the other. A beautiful poem. love, Allie xxxx

I vote on this stanza alone Ernestine for I think that it carries enough weight needed to make a strong and beautiful piece, ..shine on! Our pounding hearts that beat so uninvited, loud and clear, Join with eagerness, the raging storm. A crescendo of passion rises up and starts to fill the mind, As two enraptured souls, wholly transform. Love duncan X
