Sad poem. Death brings pain. Whatever led the departed soul to such an act, may his soul rest in peace. And all those related have courage to put it behind and walk forth. I respect this poem and the poet for sharing. Thank you and God Bless.

Touching heartfelt lamentations for the body whereas the liberated soul enjoys the bliss of Nirvana.

A dedication is personal and private, while shared publicly the life ended and the life lost can only truely be shared by the writer. Loss is central to life.

Your closing passage - AFTERLIFE NEVER ABANDONS ITS DUTY TO US ALL - should offer some relief to survivors, but only in the long term. The sense of loss, of waste really is too keen so soon after. But the Land of the Dead is already immense in population growing ever more so, and will eventually include everyone if there is an ENDTIME. Your poem has gravitas and grandness of vision that make me think these thoughts; and they help deal with the pain and loss. The poem's brevity makes the words stand forth with quiet dignity; it endorses the mourners' sincerity.
