Indira, this is a really interesting poem. I like the way that you take this theme and twist it with a great use of language. 'Forgotten elephant follows' is just one example of how you economise your word use to encapsulate grand ideas. 'Uptrunked- salute for bucks alone' is a fantstic use of image and works well as a double-entende. A great poem all around.
