Striding Through Life Poem by Phil Soar

Striding Through Life

I once took things in my stride, not now
I walk with less enthusiasm, strolling somehow

My dogs walk behind me, they used to run ahead
And all the world looks bigger, as I climb out of my bed

Trials and tribulations are beating a retreat
And all the strides I took before, now hurt my aching feet

But still I walk through every day, aware I feel less strong
And as I stroll along life's highway, I'm just where I belong
