jim,
i'm reading other poems of yours after your poem of the day and came on this one. i like the last two stanzas in particular because they were a surprise. while reading i was thinking of la fontaine's fable of the north wind and the sun and was expecting an ending like it. but no, both are needed. (your characterizing wisdom as a she reminds me of proverbs chapters 8 and 9 in the bible-of which you're probably aware.)
all the best to you.
