Street Poetry Kiri Batteries Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Street Poetry Kiri Batteries

My tractor battery was dead at the farm
The driver's habits causing it harm
He sometimes uses it for other things
In my absence abuses it it seems

A new battery costs about 200 US Dollars
That's way too much even with my bonus
So in my "ghetto" of Glen Norah i went to Kiri Batteries
He says knows the ins and outs of batteries even its arteries

I have had a nasty experience with Kiri
Sold me a battery which was good in theory
The battery did not last long
He claimed i operated it wrong

I was desperately needing one
Farming season something had to be done
Kiri was desperate for cash i could see
So i bought the battery running his car nearly for free.

I did not trust his reconditioned batteries in the shop
So i asked him to sell the one running his beemer and he didnt say nope.
I paid him fifty US Dollars and told him, to collect, i would immediately come
With my "ghetto" homies i win some i lose some.
