Storm Poem by Usha Pisharody

Storm

Rating: 5.0

The storm tossed leaves
on those trees
so reflect my inner turmoil.

Bits of hope
Shreds of despair;
warring and joining.
Joy and sorrow too,
those inevitable companions
and
undeniable rivals
for life's affections...

Churning in the sea of life.

The clouds must
break someday;
And the wind cannot
blow forever.

Maybe, just maybe,
The sun will shine
again, someday soon...

Just for me? ?

Hopefulness is what makes us resist the turmoils within...reaching that far for a ray of light only speaks of the optimism and the assurance inside.

Ah, yes.... no matter how many storms come our way, Usha - so, too, does the warmth and the glow of the sun. There are many of us awaiting our someday, I think. Knowing it will come makes the even dark days a little brighter. It's lovely to see hope embedded in a poem of this title. : ] Christine
