Sometimes a storm does feel malevolent; and the thunder seems to know your name- and the lightning, where you are hiding from it! Lovely verse.

Succinct and descriptive. The shock part reminds me of how brief and ferocious some storms can be. The other shock thing is when a thunder clap seems to boom above your home.
