Stories Poem by Lillith Moonwood

Stories

The gods of old walk among us.
With hidden powers and secrets
They stay with us and help us.

The angels of heaven walk with us.
With halos willingly taken from their heads
And hidden wings, they watch over us
And defend the helpless.

The Fae of the forest live with us.
With customs deep within them
Hidden yet still celebrated.
They punish those who destroy our forests,
And those who ruin nature.

The vampires of fables live with us.
With their hunger for blood
Poisoning everything they touch.
Filling their dark desires
With a different type of pain now.
