The streets at night are ablaze with neon lights.
The cars are rather monstrous, mad machines.
The modern world is speeding by so fast.
These days! The seasons come and go before
One knows they have arrived: with sun or wind
Or rain or snow. At times, I sigh and wish
That things would slow right down! Yet I guess
That won't happen anytime soon it seems.
Dominic welcome to the vast modern world and all its vast modern problems. Anytime anyone who ventures out in in it, it is a reality check and even cocooned indoors does not truly alleviate said problem. A poem of substance and meaning. A poem of yearning. A poem to make a reader think and for that five stars. Take care and I wish you well.

Thanks Shaun...yes modern life and all its discontents continues to repulse and yet strangely attract me. I do like to document these bewildering times.
