Stones -Are - Useless - By - Themselves Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Stones -Are - Useless - By - Themselves

It is easy to use metaphors
like stones and houses
to illustrate what the
church is like.

It is taking those
metaphors and
applying them
to real-life where
the challenge comes.

No one stands alone
but is a piece of the whole.
When you go it alone
and don't participate
in the church, you leave
yourself isolated
and ineffective.

Stones by themselves
are useless.
When you choose
not to participate
in the church,
you leave a hole
where you are
supposed to be.

Well, a different view re a lonely stone in church ;)) " This memorial bears no names: they are listed on a separate stone plaque in the church porch which refers to this cross in the churchyard." - from internet
