So beautiful....so mature specially for someone so young. Loved it
I really like the freedom it portrays - - like a beautiful Monarch butterfly, checking landing spots, curious and carefree.
WOW! This a WOW poem because it asserts the heart's desire with all the resources of language and poetry. Such a poem could also assert the soul's desire the way a SUFI poet like Rumi does, or it could be the mind's desire which is asserted, as in poems by Wallace Stevens. But here with the focus on the heart you have your own answer to the questions raised in the two poems previous. Of course, all we have are words, and they don't create new realities. They create psychological realities, new hopes, a better outlook, resolutions to be a better person - that kind of thing. And the immediate focus of this poem - TO FIND HERSELF AGAIN. Poetry can make that happen! I hope it worked for that close friend. The poems you are writing are a lifeline of emotional victories stretching across time, to whatever future awaits you.
