Stolen Poem by Ashley Power

Stolen

If you peek behind the sparkle
You'll find lost and anguished eyes
A world of secret torture
A battle in disguise.

Tell me where's the use in hoping
when you never follow through
And when my heart's developed armor
just to rid itself from you.

My life's been stained with tears and pain
My logic lost, sense put to shame
All i've known has been ripped away
by the battles building every day

If you ever were to look right through
Beyond what i pretend
I swear your eyes wouldn't have such nerve
to dare meet mine again
