I believe he speaks of a vast land been depraved and defrauded of its once glorious self...black earth, green grass, precious stones and pyramids... All gone because because of bad governance....! Many chose to fill and enrich their pockets....! And think not any wiser of the future....! I feel you in this poem...nice piece.
