Stereotype Poem by Okoemu Okoemu Okoemu

Stereotype

A Pastor raped
It went haywire
Pastors should hide in shame
Would the rape have been justified
If the rape was done by a lay man?
An islamic teacher abused 35 boys
All imams are ridiculed
So, a pagan should?
What is so special about what people are?
A Catholic priest was killed,
Everyone wail,
Culprits arrested in few days
Pastors and deacons kidnapped
In few hours ineffective police became effective
All hands were on deck
And they are rescued
Peasants are slaughtered in Benue, and Jos
Every moments,
Poor children and women and men
Are suffering and living in fears in Borno
No one protest for them, no one cry for them
The killing of the priest and kidnapping of the pastors/deacons would have been tolerated if they where lay men!
There is an accident between an okada man and a taxi driver
The Esan man calls the okada man hausa or fulani
And cause life out of him not minding whether he is or not, or the cause or not,
Every bad thing that happened in south south
It is the northern that did it...
These Muslims are evil.
Any evil that happened in the North, it is the southerners that did it....
These Christians are evil...
A garden is beautiful because of it diversed flowers
Instead of us to see our beauty from our diversities,
All we see is hatred!
And the same we cry that the country is not moving
Nothing is wrong with Nigeria
But a lot is wrong with Nigerians.
