Steal Me Poem by Rachel Brewer

Steal Me

You’re the dream I have when I’m awake,
I’m waiting for you, my soul to take.
Come and free me from my shell,
Relieve my soul, take me to hell.
My mind now playing tricks on me,
So many worlds I have no desire to see.
I just want to go and leave this place,
Erase myself from time and space.
Your face haunts my awakened mind,
Afraid that you might leave me behind.
Just remember where I’ll always be,
Here, waiting for you to rescue me.
Take me to the fires below,
Please hurry, do not be slow.
A heavy price on earth I will have to pay,
So please, please do not delay.
I need to be with my own kind,
And leave this dreadful life behind.
At least in hell I will never be cold,
And never more will I grow old.
The night is getting darker all the time,
Hearing the midnight bells chime.
So steal me away in the night black,
And never, ever bring me back.
Let me live my death in some sort of pleasure,
It is my one and only treasure.
The sun will rise and I should be done,
I need to be in hell and have some fun.
