When people find out what is actually in their Holy books they are usually dumbfounded. The Marquis de Sade could not have written such horrifying texts.
I'm amazed that people take it seriously. Parts of the old testament are indeed horrifying. How he got it through the publishers, God only knows. The New Testament is supposed to be the soft option but that Nativity story seems to suggest Holy Ghost engaged in adultery and quite possibly paedophilia (in view of Mary's reputed age) . Tom
