When millions starve, how can we enjoy? A profound question. A relevant point. A powerful message for the new year.
The poem was born in my mind while I was watching the new year celebrations in the TV. Luxury and lavishness were abundant. All in a sudden a flash of the needy passed through me.
We could think like that for every celebration. It is a sad part of life. I think old customs were great when feeding hungry was part of every ritual of life.
Yes, dear poetess. As a part of every ritual it's our tradition to feed a good number of guests including the poor population of the locality
Surely it is sad. We should think about the poor and hungry and help them. Nice thought.

The World Bank estimates that around 685 million people could be extremely poor by the end of 2022. Although there are some organizations to alleviate the effects of poverty still people are pushed to the lowest lows.
