Starvation

A gnawing in my gut,
That constant pain,
I'd lasted so long -
abstinence hard to sustain.
I'd been so long without now,
I hardly thought I cared,
But then I recall quite vividly,
The love that we shared.
I know it's all gone now,
You know that too.
But really, quite honestly,
I'm hungry for you.
