Stars Poem by Daya Nandan

Stars

Some call them massive, luminous spheres of plasma held together by gravitational force,
Radiating light from a thermonuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium as it's light source,
Let me tell you what these wonders of the silky blanketed midnight sky truly are, it's a secret no more,
Stars are the beautiful eyes of heaven, those special little holes in heaven's floor,

They are the enticing jewels of the night, the eternal streetlights we all know too well
The guiding twinkles of heaven so bright that men lost at sea use to sail away from hell,
The light of heaven, the gateway for human spirits, thousand points of light in a broad and peaceful skies
But when when you are there the stars in the sky seem to double upon a single gaze at your lovely eyes

You open a hidden gateway to paradise with every kiss, a single embrace that brings heaven to earth,
They grow in number and shine brighter, the love you give is enough to bring about a young star's birth,
What more can i say, you are a vision of ecstasy, i see the universe through those eyes,
so enticing, so beautiful, perfect as a night field of sparkling fireflies,
