Alzheimer's. No evil tyrant can come up with a worse torture than this disease that tears down the person and destroys the sweet memories or at least covers them up with pain for the family of the victim... but I am encouraged to see there was still star-spangled skies to remind the survivor of this lovely man and the love they shared most every night..

A very touching write Hazel! As he suffered from Alzheimer, he couldn't even recognize her towards the end! But she has only sweet memories of him who remained a gentleman through out! Now after his death, she misses him greatly and looks at the star spangled sky which he loved much, may be to spot him!

Over the vast dark bog with twinkling stars above, Her man dies Everyday he looks at her without hope or recognition Only confusion from Alzheimer's ammunition, I have seen so many old persons who been suffering from alzheimer diseases, loss of memory and disability to recognize the loved ones is really painful for the loved ones.
