p.s. when the BIG orange cat (and other trespassing cats) approach, the juncos et al had better remember how to FLY! ! !
I enjoyed the Poet's Notes a bit more than the poem. if it weren't for the rhyming, why not say 'clever, seldom walks', as you allude to in P's Ns? we, too, have a junco invasion now in northern CA. i put out sunflower seeds which are shared by them......(in a birdbath used as a feeder & in a hanging metal mesh feeder & some on patio surface) ...and five (so far) kinds of sparrows, CA towhee, chickadees, and Stellars' jays.
very beautiful syllables poetry is it a must really just compose off the cuff poetry as does pp in me and guys smile clap some say wow and they give 10+++++++ what goes from their pockets PH is in any case going to You Tube it with music and earn as my ego does only CHURN
I'm not sure I understood everything you tried to say, but thanks for commenting, anyway.
Thanks for checking in, Wes, old buddy. I appreciate you dropping by.
Thank you for informing us about square poems- -I thought you were being unnecessarily mean to yourself calling your poem square! ! ! The Junco bird sounds like a welcome visitor. I enjoy my sparrow visitors, they cheer up my day
Susan, thank you for the comment. I get sparrows also, but I get mostly goldfinch and black-capped chickadees. Today I had juncos, goldfinches, house sparrows and house finches. Yesterday there was a strange new little bird that I'm still trying to identify in my many bird books!
Your poem and picture Warmed my heart, What a nice companion To have as Winter starts. Liked the syllabic form too, did you create it? In any case, thank you for this winter treat which I will preciously keep. It's very cute and very sweet!
Thank you for commenting, Sandra. Yes, I did create what I call the square poem. There are other definitions for square poems, of which I was unaware when I invented MY version of the square poem!
hey, Kim, i'm glad you 'told it like it is' in your response to Poet Poet. For some reason, i have her on my Banned list. bri :)
HER? I thought HER was a HIM!
