Spring Moves On Poem by Phil Soar

Spring Moves On

The tulips are beginning to fade now
Their petals begin to look drained of colour
The beauty has been a four to six week magical spell
Brightening up the garden with their variety
Now a transition between Spring and Summer begins
Camelias past their best, yet the Rhododendrons open
The rediish pink and lilac colours replace the Tulips
The magnolias drop their flowers and rest
The cherry blossom is at its finest
And the tall hawthorn trees now begin to show their white flowers
Masses of white against a background of green
Clematis flowers start to form and swell
Roses begin to bud up, and I am reminded of what is to come.

It all makes me smile and I am at peace with nature.

While the birds sing and their young fledge, I watch in awe.
