Spring Has To Wait Poem by Phil Soar

Spring Has To Wait

Rating: 5.0

The delicate fragrance, seems so far away
When I look out the window, at layers of snow
It seems that the winter decided to stay
And spring has to wait, for the sunshine to show

The cold is frustrating, and ice takes a hold
The weight of it all, makes the trees seem to shake
And the animals search through enveloping cold
Far away seems the summer, when ground starts to bake

But there's hope we can cling to, that raises a smile
Because seasons will come and will go
And while winter is here, it is just for a while
As spring has to wait for the sunshine to show
