Spring Clean Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Spring Clean

The bear does wait hibernate
Come spring elected head of state
Last term for this mighty king
Christian knight of god shining

Beware the foes who against him stand
For the sword of justice is in his hand
Soon the battle will begin
Make no mistake he will win

Empires rise and empires fall
As time moves slowly down the hall
Already gone but none can see
The winds of change that blow life's tree

(The old order now fades away
It's rotten core is on display
Will not go down without a fight
Though darkness retreats from coming light)
