Spoons Poem by Orlando Belo

Spoons

It really annoys me having to use a dessert spoon
when I'm eating soup.
You would think that hotels would know this,
but they seem united in a group.

A dessert spoon was designed for a dish,
with no restrictions, similar to a plate.
But within the confines of a bowl, it is limited
and leaving what's left, frustrates.

The soup spoon was designed for purpose,
and it is ideal for eating soup or broth.
The confines of a small dish is no problem
and the soup is enjoyed, every drop.
