I wish I was a child again
With a teddy bear of hope
All that tripped & tied me up
Were laces & skipping ropes
I wish I was a child again
Swimming in curiosity
The only sticky situation
Was plastered on my knee
I wish I was a child again
Unknown to any hassle
Inflation only lived
In slides & bouncy castles
I wish I was a child again
That cat that got the cream
Getting very high
Only happened with a dream
I wish I was a child again
Not the man I am today
I'll cut my ties
Hide salty wounds
Be let down
& dream on as they say
