Neither a tiger nor a lion,
neither an elephant nor a man
does possess a splendid life
in this creation.
Splendid are the trees
that give us
food to build our bodies,
air to breath,
medicines to treat,
shelter to live,
shade to cool from blazing heat.
They sleep in seeds,
wake up to grow
in plains and wild
without any one's care.
Render services endlessly
to all others in this sphere.
When dead and dried
give us wood, fuel and furniture,
services are free from bias and discomfiture.
Trees are worthy of worship
as they are magnanimous,
unselfish, sincere and fair.
A beautiful poem that expresses in brilliant detail the importance of trees. The closure lines expresses all.
