Spirit V Matter Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Spirit V Matter

In all honesty I cannot hate you
For you have made into what I am
I was lost and did not know what was true
Now I manifest from your action

And I was minding my own business
For I just wanted to be left alone
So then why you did have me blacklisted
Your reasons to me did remain unknown

You've done nothing but bully, cause trouble
And I will not be your wee whipping boy
Kill me if you think it preferable
But I'm already dead, that you know

Clever, my genius identify
Though you'll never be as clever as I

I can read your mind like it was my own
Your strategy is so predictable
You may have purchased the great English crown
But you are surely not invincible

I do tire of all this skullduggery
Your minions I can not tolerate
Must I dwell in your petty drudgery
In your trivia I will not partake

Who cares 'bout your world domination
For your existence so material
I am only a proletarian
But I do reign in the spiritual

Your advisors and witches are so weak
My destiny they will never defeat
