Each stanza pauses and deals with one aspect of the human journey: the first stanza both the dead and the living feel the joy of being; in the second Christ Himself showers the dead - the redeemed - with spiritual calm; the living do not yet feel that calm but in the last stanza their lack of calm is driving them toward God and heaven. So your whole poem is about a continual rising toward God among souls of the living and the dead, and there is no lingering doubt that this rising, this craving for God will reunite the living and the dead in heaven.
