Spirit Of An Animal



Buried way down deep
Bitterness cannot be killed
By prayers
Silently prayed
Or promises
Falsely made
It has no brain
But a broken heart
House divided
Cannot stand
If it is torn apart
Bars of a prison
Gates of a cage
Heart of the animal
Still mighty
Full of rage
