My goodness- - - this is a very persuasive poem. I know because the only spider I can tolerate is the great daddy-long-legs. And with these words you have me rethinking my stand [swat] on the subject. But hoever much you have made me think more kindly toward the arachnid class, I must reserve the right to run screaming for a shotgun whenever I see a black widow spider.... lovely poem and it deserves a 10

A very... very lovely poem.....! The intimate tone, the casual treatment of the subject and the beautiful message at the end makes it very special..... But somehow my son was quite scared of spiders when he was a baby...... may be a phobia unwittingly induced in him by his mother!

A poem with a great message. A small every day incident can lead to big thoughts. Yes, we must teach our children to love n respect every living creature. An atmosphere free of phobias is the stepping stone to a peaceful world. A thought-provoking write.

I believe that we are born, basically as blank slates, with no predispositions. Our fear of spiders, distrust and hatred of those of different nationalities, colors, and even our political leanings and myriad other mindsets are instilled and indoctrinated by our parents. Parents are important to the survival of our planet. We must teach them to teach their children well. Peace Bhai Madathil
