Speleothems Stalactites Stalagmites Poem by Terence George Craddock

Speleothems Stalactites Stalagmites

Rating: 5.0

two days ago
an American tourist
tried to tip me
a couple of twenties

after I took his wife
and him on a scenic
Charleston Nile cave
tour I politely refused...

the purity integrity
of giving sharing
beauty still moments
of internal wonder

has a beautiful karma
meeting beautiful people
is it's own rare reward
we shared appreciated...

formations
180,000 200,000 years
in the making
calcium carbonate dripping

could post you pictures
but the spaces temperatures
alone in those passages
were moments of serenity...

not for sale
this is a tale
of shared inspiration
heartfelt appreciation

There is a beauty that is priceless, such as what you have described within your write...ho wonderful that you have integrity enough to recognize and appreciate what many others quite simply overlook....or for that matter, even worse, never go looking for. I agree, wholeheartedly...ahhh such loveliness, for free! ! ! PEACE
