As I sat on my desk,
Hurrying with my pent up work,

Thank you so much Magadha for your words of encouragement. This was written out of my intense feelings for a mother who happened to be my close friend who had lost her daughter in an accident. That child was everybody's darling. So the emotions came naturally!

The innocent smile fading from your lips, In a coffin, amid wailing friends and kin, Like a vanishing dream, you lay. In deep quiet, your body reposed, Unmindful of everything around......so impressive and heart touching expression. Losing a young daughter in accident for a bereaved mother is really painful and a great shock. You have so touchingly and heartrendingly inscribed this poem. Beautiful one.

The sad event superbly narrated. I could very well visualize the pain of the mother at times I could even identify myself with her. May the soul of departed rest in peace.

A heartbreaking write, such a wonderful thought to record a poem such as this when words can never describe the sadness of a tragedy as this one, so well done.

The dismal happenings have the power to inflict deep cuts on our minds finer than flesh. The poem traces the tragedy that crushed the little one and wets our eyes all alike. Poems of the kind are inevitable to begin a search for the discerning lot who are just a few perhaps.

A very moving and compassionate tribute for a loss no one ever wants to experience, but some sadly will. A fine sensitive poem, deftly crafted.

How excruciatingly sad, beyond all words. I will give you a 10 for such a great dedication, but voting somehow seems facile and inappropriate.
