Sounds Of Silence By Gio Masserati Poem by Gio Masserati

Sounds Of Silence By Gio Masserati

Sounds of Silence
deafening to his ears
sitting in ocean's edge
cleansing those tears
the hurts deeply covered
layer upon layer
neatly packaged fears
the rumbling's outrage
once hidden through many years
gasping for breath they surface
one by one, they show their heads
not today, man, not today
until denial finally gives way
holding on yet letting go, have say
a white flag suddenly appears

the sounds of silence
will not quiet their violence
no sounds of silence

they march toward him, one by one
he instinctively lay each one in wave
while watching as it's carried away
today do bury in ocean's vast grave
cleansed tears, cleansed heart
cleansing waves, wave goodbye
as teardrop falls from the potent sky
directly in his his tender eye
he looks up and smiles
a kiss from him a kiss from heaven
Waving
it's not goodbye
til we meet again

sounds of silence
for this time real
heart melting
softened
filled with sounds of ocean's waves
wave surrenders
sounds of silence
for time and place
reverence hugs respect
tidings bringing him healing love
from the biggest wave of all
from above
