Seek inside it,
For you shall find it,
Nothing it hides.
If you give it a chance;
Stopping the shivers,
You hear—
The sound of silence.
When you are in trouble
Never fear,
For your soul knows
The path out of febrile confusion.
'Cause in the windy silence
You find answers from—
The sound of silence.
Doubt none, Fear none
For your inner soul
Is made up of eternity.
It knows all, cares for all.
At the end of life,
If Its opinion is what,
Your mind will howl,
So next time when you're in dilemma,
Don't forget what the Hindus do call it Atman.
You can hear it by stopping yourself.
And in the silence, you find—
'Your sound of silence'!
