Winter night, Thus reflects a moonlight glitter
With frosty air so cold and bitter
Who dare ring the chapel bells
Inviting all to abide this frozen hell
Masses come from distance far and near
By sleigh with merry might
A burning smell of oil lamps
Fills the dark with Christmas light
The horses lead a warm breath trail
As children laugh with such delight
Once a year well into late afterglow
Through the dark of starlit night
Ring loudly bells of faithful worship
Midnight chimes call for all to pray
Soon shall be the after hour
Christ's birth on Christmas Day
