Sound As A Dollar Poem by Roger Gerald Hicks

Sound As A Dollar

The new
George Bush
dollar
will be
made of
recycled
plastic.

People
in the
future
will say:
Remember
when bread
only cost
4 Bushes?

The good
old daze
some will
mutter,
nodding in
agreement-

fingering
cardboard
Cheney
quarters
that won't
purchase
anything.
