Soulful Awakening
she rescued herself from love's dilemma
felt like the ugliest duckling
yet everyone saw her beautiful soul
missed the signs with a wrong person
she learned to step away
from those who didn't see her worth
values those good people she met
treasures them for a lifetime
lingering longer in her heart
memories of them a gentle warmth
a soul awakening she rises
seeing herself through loving eyes
