A fabulous poem. I can explore valuable substances from these four lines, 'But I say it's fall when the winds of change begin to blow through our lives frostbiting turning us whirling us out to free-range that's life at her most wildwood exciting.'. Top score and to my favorites.

A brilliant sonnet I accidentally chanced upon. A sonnet with two Voltas, one: 'But I say it's fall when the winds of change... and the last line: ' but for me life is the season of fall, completing the couplet. Thanks for sharing..

An autumn soul, the other seasons as you so aptly penned seem to be taxed with a purpose. Fall as you capture is a time for breathing out, for reflection and appreciation. With autumn hinting at her arrival here and there I can only hope that you do her justice once more! Stay well Susan.

Your comments read like the silkiest of poems.... I do look forward to fall... the type that doesn't gag a person with smoke from all the forest fires- AARG! ! ! the smoke started two months ago and is still going daily on and on... maybe I can do an ode to the acrid poison of smoke lying about 30 feet above the ground... It just doesn't have that colorful autumn feel, does it?

Beautiful Sonnet Susan. I don't know what made me to read this sonnet again. Very true said, life is the season of fall. Perhaps its the beautiful season which comes at last and remain with us for longer time. Loved your ink.

Thank you very much- I struggled so hard and long to write this according to even the loosest sonnet requirements I could find- -the hardest part was trying to write something that flowed and made sense in the amount of syllables demanded per line! ! !

Beautiful sonnet flowing in Midas touch where spring filled with zest. Beautiful one is season of fall, which usually comes after passing through all seasons. Loved reading it.

I think we all revel in all the seasons... at least for a little while. Snow gets on my last nerve in such a short time! ! ! Lovely to look at but treacherous to venture out in! ! ! Thank you for reading and commenting and enjoying my offering! ! !

To write a sonnet with its parameter like ten syllabales in each line in total fourteen lines is difficult yet you have, dear Susan, aptly and nicely painted a beautiful sonnet on seasons having an charismatic way. Thank u a lot.

Thank you! ! ! Sonnets demand a lot out of a writer but maybe its worth the sweat and tears and blood - - maybe I'll try another sonnet in a year or two because you said such kind words about this one! ! ! !

Smiling! ! ! Yes! ! ! There are a few of us on this site but we do have fellow fall aficionados! ! ! Autumn is color, crisp, changing, cinematic, and above all, cankerous and charismatic at the same time! !

Spring at HER best? Are you daring to put spring in the feminine gender? Well.....right you are! ! ! ! For only the warmth from a woman can give birth to a new meaning or a new day, throw away the math and syllables, you are far above that my friend, zest, flowers is all you, but.....the surprise of fall being exalted above spring is leaving me perplexed! ,

Laughing here. Spring in my neck of the world is windy as in Tornado Speed Crazy and chilly and altogether not very inviting. Fall on the other hand is cool but not cold, rarely having a breeze above a whisper and chock full of goofies.bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb Hahahahahahahahahahaha, I just fell asleep at the keyboard- I have no idea what I was going to say but I bet it was going to be brilliant! ! ! Thank you for your comment, Bill, [ I could put winter in the male gender if you like? ]

Yes, yes! Autumn is the best season. You do justice to spring and summer. Both have special appeal, but autumn has that ripeness that means our task is finished - Now let's enjoy the harvest. Pour the wine, begin the dance, someone read out loud Keats's ode TO AUTUMN! !

Yes, yes, yes! ! ! ! We autumn lovers have to stick together! ! ! The harsh hot days of summer are gentling down and we can even enjoy the chill of morning air before the day warms up in the afternoon. We can walk and walk and walk and enjoy the scenery without collapsing from a heat stroke. Winter tries to snap my nose off, and spring is lovely after you plow the garden, dig holes, trim the bushes, weed the entire yard, pant-pant-pant. But you and I and other right-minded folk will enjoy the harvest and pour the wine, and talk under the stars til late. Thank you Daniel for this lovely comment! ! !

I agree with you. Fall is the season of change when things disintegrate so they could take new shapes, or be replaced by new things. Fall is also good for creativity from a writer's point of view. I like how you weigh different perspectives n make your conclusion. A very profound write deserving no less than 10.

Thank you, Nosheen.Fall has always been an invigorating season for me- -after the 100+ degrees of heat in the summer I look forward to getting outside and walking, riding, gardening, to seeing such vivid colors take over in the fall flowers and the turning leaves.... there are sad thoughts of course that are bred by seeing vegetation slowly withering and dying and the increasing signs of winter coming on. Thank you for the 10, my friend and I am glad you enjoyed the moments of time spent in the world of this poem.
