If we could only see into the future
Like we can see our mistakes of the past
We could just be like the surgeon’s suture,

I think sometimes intuition tries to warn us of out actions ramifications on our future. Given that we pay so little attention to the little voice we barrel on regardless and only see after the fact that had we paused, listened to that voice, we could save a lot of heartache. I love your take on 'time' Well done. xx

We need good sonnet writers, my friend. Nice one. Formalists like ourselves must to stick together in this hurricane (albeit a dwindling hurricane) of free verse. -LP

Starting from a wishful thinking you descend down to reality: 'Better not to know what the future holds'. Life's thrills depend upon thought of future and not knowing what may happen the next moment.

Best not to know for most would try to alter and in that likely mess it up. Let it flow as attempts to influence are usually puny and futile.

A great poem, if we could go back in time we might make our mistakes even worse. A great write.

Time is a one way street. Beautifully said. Ironically we keep making the same mistakes that we made in the past. We don't learn from history. Then you say better not to know future. Right, knowing it will be a constant source of anxiety and worry. Thank you.
