Sonnet Poem by Kathlene Ann

Sonnet

Let me imitate that legendary form
And write a sonnet to last for all time.
I'll start, sitting here in this silent dorm,
To think of many-a clever rhyme.

Here I'll put my argument.
Think with me reader, won't you think?
I'll speculate like a true philosophical gent'
On what I, here, record in ink.

A deep, confusing question we'll discuss
Using intense imagery and metaphors.
Follow my logic, don't make a fuss!
And I'll lead to to answers through unlocked doors.

Ah ha! We've come at last to the turn.
May this last twist not be something you spurn.
