Absolutely, Amitava, I agree with you wholeheatedly with your thoughts in this poem. If you can't love yourself, who then can you love? Your ability to love comes from within your being, it has been shaped and formed by parents, siblings, those around you when young. If your teaching has been negligent, abusive, unloving, there is not much to go on. Later in life you must try and learn what you should have been taught when younger. That is to love yourself.
