Song: True Romance Poem by Dave SmithWhite

Song: True Romance

Rating: 5.0

Will I still love you?
After all this time.
The mountains loom above you.
Should I risk the climb?

What passions can still move me,
To make the journey there.
I'll cash-in my chips, if you have me,
Ascend your lofty lair.

Are you still in love with love,
By realms of vast expanse?
Are you the highest flying dove,
Whose vistas are enhanced?

Are you still in love with love,
Will I see it at a glance?
Your eyes reveal the way you feel,
Unsealed by happenstance.

Do I still love you?
Do the stars still shine?
I do not mean to bluff you.
Are the planets still aligned?

Do you still love me?
Can you give a sign?
I have the proof you stay aloof,
But through no fault of mine.

Am I still in love with love,
Will I take a chance?
The logistics of the chase thereof,
To make my suit advance.

Will I still love you?
Should all reason rhyme?
I cannot think more of you:
I drink you in like wine.

Will I still love you?
Does the sullen earth still shake?
The little I know of you,
Tells me your heart will break.

Are we still in love with love.
As some rare exotic dance?
Seductive arts,go hand in glove,
In the play of true romance.
